Ouch

Next door to Lamp Post Liquors was this, er, distinctively-shaped sign pointing into the parking lot. 

While it outlived the Lamp Post, it, too, met a rather ungracious end in early 2007. Luckily some attentive folks were on the scene that day. I was preparing the spring open studio program and my phone was ringing off the hook, more or less, due to other things going on nearby that will have to wait for another post.

But I have these photos handy, so this is the story du jour. A few more phone calls, some borrowing of trucks, and an exchange of cash later, these remains of the parking lot signs ended up in the back yard of my studio.
